Juno is the Queen of the Roman gods, the goddess of marriage, childbirth, and women, and a powerful protector and special counselor of the Roman state. She is the Roman counterpart of the Greek goddess Hera. She is both the sister and wife of Jupiter, the king of the gods.

Inspiration

This design was created as one of a series of eight illustrations based on stories and characters from Greek mythology. They were designed in the round so they could be reproduced on round objects such as plates and a range of other products.  The designs are in pairs:
