Inspiration

I was inspired by Jason's story of a classic Greek hero's quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece to reclaim his throne from his usurping uncle, Pelias. He assembles a crew of heroes, known as the Argonauts and sails on the ship Argo to the land of Colchis. There, with the help of the sorceress Medea, he overcomes magical challenges to get the fleece. Upon returning, Jason abandons Medea for another princess, which leads her to seek revenge by killing Jason's new bride and their children, resulting in a tragic and complex ending.
