This original drawing is of James and Cassandra performing at Inner Temple in London. The drawing was drawn live while James played piano and Cassandra sang in a concert and captures the feel and expression of the music in loose energetic mark making.

Inspiration

I regularly attend concerts and draw during live performance to capture the expression that is unique to each musician. I look for flow when a musician disappears into the music during performance so I can capture their expression and translate it in to a visual form on paper.
