Inspiration

I was walking through the walled garden at Rousham gardens in Oxfordshire and came across these wonderful rudbekias that were as tall as me. I loved the shapes and the bright yellow colour. I had to draw and paint them. At the time I was drawing with reed pens I had made so I drew the flowers in ink first then painted the rest of the scene in colours to complement the bright yellow of the flowers.
