This original mixed media painting was captured from memory at a concert and depicts a violin performance showing the musician lost in expression.

Inspiration

I regularly attend concerts and draw during live performance to capture the expression that is unique to each musician. I captured an initial drawing in this case and then finished the painting from memory of how I was moved by the music. I look for flow when a musician disappears into the music during performance.
