This fine art paper print is a reproduction of an ink drawing of Atlas. As part of the Greek Myth collection this is one of eight exquisite illustrations, meticulously crafted by hand using a dip pen and black Indian ink on board.
Atlas is a prominent figure in Greek mythology known for his immense strength and his eternal punishment of bearing the heavens on his shoulders. Zeus condemned Atlas to stand at the western edge of the earth and hold up the heavens (the celestial sphere) on his shoulders for eternity.
