All original artworks will be shipped by Royal Mail and require a signature upon receipt at the destination.

Packaging

All artwork will be packaged appropriate to the physical artwork.

Drawings on paper will be packaged in postage tubes and protected in plasic film sleeves.

Paintings on canvas or board will be packaged in cardboard boxes appropriate to their size.

Unframed Original artworks: Please allow 3 business days for me to sign and package your piece and prepare it for safe shipping. Once your order has been processed and dispatched, you will receive a shipment notification email with an estimated delivery date.

U.S. and Canada and International orders

Please allow 7-10 days.

NOTE: I do not sell original artworks pre framed.

Returns

We have a no returns policy on all custom products made to order items.

If an item is faulty or defective we will accept a return to rectify the fault and return the item to you corrected.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

The inspiration

I always sketch my locations in black and white ink before painting in oils en plein air. This enables me to simplify the scene and break it down in to a simpler form. I captured people punting down the river under the dappled shade under the trees that line the river.

William has worked as a professional artist for 40+ years & his work is held in public and private collections around the world.  His diverse styles of artwork can be found in illustrated books, on ceramics, decorating fabrics, on the wall of many private collections and in public collections such as The Bodleian Library in Oxford.

Artist Info: "My work is grounded in observational drawing and experimentation in all mediums and subjects.

A way to empathise, reflect and deeply connect with my subject. Through decades of observation, I’ve developed an intuitive, responsive drawing process rooted in a deep understanding of form, composition, feel, expression and colour.

I draw when I experience moments in life that I take notice of and they raise the hairs on the back of my neck! I see the beauty of the drape and pattern of a fabric following the shape of a figure. The rhythms, colours and shapes changed by weather and light in a landscape. A musician or dancers’ expression and movement that connects with me during a performance.

Each subject reveals and dictates how it wants the drawn or painted marks to be made - through rhythm, movement, light, or sound - and I respond instinctively, letting the unexpected lead. I stop when the marks align with the subject’s essence and the image holds presence.

This is where I flourish: in the space between play, control and the excitement of accidental and unforeseen discovery.
