September Rosehips is a 115 × 115 cm scarf featuring artwork by William Rowsell. The printed design reproduces my painting of rosehips in autumn hedgerows, created using traditional Chinese ink techniques on Sumi paper in a blue-and-red palette. The artwork is printed onto the scarf, rather than painted directly onto the fabric.

The inspiration

The Original Painting was inspired by the rosehips in the hedgerows in the fields behind my house one September as I walked along the hedgerows. The red rosehips stand out like jewels against the other colours at that time of year.

Our Quality Commitment

Our production team and quality-control processes are designed to catch issues before dispatch. However, as with all handmade goods, occasional human error can occur. Where a product we have manufactured falls short of the standard you are entitled to expect, we will put it right.

Faulty or Defective Personalised Products

Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If your personalised product arrives faulty or defective due to a manufacturing error on our part, you have the following rights:

  • Short-term right to reject (0–30 days): You may reject the goods and receive a full refund, or request a repair or replacement.

  2. Contact ua using the details in Section 10, quoting your order number.
  3. Send clear photographic or video evidence of the fault, including:A full image of the productA close-up of the specific fault or defectThe product label or packaging if relevant
  4. We aim to respond within 12 working hours of receiving your evidence.
  5. We will confirm whether the issue constitutes a manufacturing fault and propose a remedy: remake, repair, or refund.
  6. If a physical return is required, we will provide a returns authorisation number and return instructions. Do not return without this authorisation.

Non-Faulty Personalised Products — No Returns

We are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for personalised products that have been manufactured correctly to your specification, unless a statutory right applies. This is because:

  • The product has been made uniquely for you and cannot be resold.
  • Under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, personalised goods are explicitly exempt from the standard right of return.

This includes, but is not limited to: change of mind, ordering the wrong size, uploading incorrect artwork, or dissatisfaction with a design you approved. WillonFloorRambert_composite - William Rowsell Fine Art

About the artist...

William has worked as a professional artist for 40+ years & his work is held in public and private collections around the world.  His diverse styles of artwork can be found in illustrated books, on ceramics, decorating fabrics, on the wall of many private collections and in public collections such as The Bodleian Library in Oxford.

Artist Info: "My work is grounded in observational drawing and experimentation in all mediums and subjects.

A way to empathise, reflect and deeply connect with my subject. Through decades of observation, I’ve developed an intuitive, responsive drawing process rooted in a deep understanding of form, composition, feel, expression and colour.

I draw when I experience moments in life that I take notice of and they raise the hairs on the back of my neck! I see the beauty of the drape and pattern of a fabric following the shape of a figure. The rhythms, colours and shapes changed by weather and light in a landscape. A musician or dancers’ expression and movement that connects with me during a performance.

Each subject reveals and dictates how it wants the drawn or painted marks to be made - through rhythm, movement, light, or sound - and I respond instinctively, letting the unexpected lead. I stop when the marks align with the subject’s essence and the image holds presence.

This is where I flourish: in the space between play, control and the excitement of accidental and unforeseen discovery.
