This canvas print is a reproduction of an etching of Awaiting the tide edition 2. This is one in a series of etching editions I created of the coastal marshes around Blakeney and Cley. This version was printed from the copper plate etching by hand in a winter palette of colours on the press at Oxford Printmakers.
Inspiration
I was in Blakeney on holiday and was skethcing along the coastal marshes and spotted this boat sitting in the mud at low tide. I drew an ink sketch of it in my sketchbook and then used the sketch to create this copper plate etching edition in a winter aplette with some red hand tinted corrections.
