This canvas print is of an original charcoal drawing (A2 on paper) of 'The pigeon house' at Rousham gardens in Oxfordshire in England, drawn on location in the summer of 2024. 

Inspiration

Rousham gardens were the inspiration for this drawing of the pigeon house. The gardens were designed by William Kent (1685-1748) and represents the first phase of English landscape design and is left almost unchanged. It is a truly magical place to draw and paint and draws me back again and again to capture dufferent parts fo the gardens in different seasons.
