I visited the island of Sal in Cape Verde and painted and drew the landscape and inhabitants. The island sits out in the middle of the Atlantic and is exposed to the winds coming off the ocean. I did a few days fishing and at the same time did some watercolour sketches from the beach looking out to the remains fo the volcanoes across the surf. I also drew the fishermen using a simple ink brush pen in my sketchbook in black ink.
