I went on set at Liverpool station and drew the girls dressed up in their dischevelled school clothes. One young girl stood out and a sketch that I captured of her developed in to this etching of her playing conkers in the playground. The original sketch captured in brush pen in black ink. The ink sketch is then transfered to plate in a complex printmaking process resulting in a copper plate with the image etched on to it. This image is a print from the plate using chine colle and hand tinted embellishment using watercolours.
