Unframed prints are sent wrapped in tissue, in a postal tube, for you to choose your own frame. All my prints fit standard frame sizes.
Framed prints are protected with a 3mm sheet of acrylic glazing. Please be aware there is a little bit of reflection on the glazing, if you prefer no reflection, please look at my framed canvas prints as they have no glazing.
Handmade in Italy, our frames with premium plexiglass are crafted to the highest standards. Choose from elegant wooden frames in dark or light oak, or vibrant colours like black, white, red, yellow, and blue.
The frame measurements refer to the size of prints it fits. The actual frame size is slightly bigger depending on your selected frame profile and size.
Frames up to 50×70 cm (incl. A4–A2) have a 1.5 cm width and depth. Larger sizes (A1 and above) have a 2 cm width and depth.
Our frames come with user-friendly turning clips on the back making it easy to mount the print in the frame yourself. All our frames can be hung both vertically and horizontally.
We offer the option of a passepartout, a high-quality, acid-free border that surrounds your artwork within the frame. It not only adds an elegant visual space that draws attention to the piece.

Charlotte Spruit on Violin is a museum-quality giclée fine art paper print by British artist William Rowsell, reproduced from a coloured pencil drawing of violin soloist Charlotte Spruit performing at the West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival in Buckinghamshire, England.
Made live from a position close to the musician, the drawing follows Charlotte’s expression, posture and physical movement as she plays. Rowsell’s direct pencil marks favour rhythm and presence over polished realism, creating a contemporary figurative music artwork with the immediacy of the performance still visible.
I draw live at music concerts and sat very close to Charlotte as she played violin at the West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival. Working in coloured pencil, I responded directly to her expression and movement, allowing the drawing to develop with the pace and energy of the music.
Part of the Charlotte Spruit on Violin collection. You can also explore the Music Art collection.

What are paper art print borders / passepartout details?
We offer the option of a passepartout, a high-quality, acid-free border that surrounds your artwork within the frame. It not only adds an elegant visual space that draws attention to the piece.

Window sizes for our passepartouts:
A passepartout is a physical piece of cardboard that sits inside the frame, so we can only ship it as a separate mat when a frame is included. If you choose a passepartout without a frame, the border is printed into the print file instead: you receive a single sheet in your selected size, with the artwork printed inside a coloured border. The artwork itself is the same size either way.

William has worked as a professional artist for 40+ years & his work is held in public and private collections around the world. His diverse styles of artwork can be found in illustrated books, on ceramics, decorating fabrics, on the wall of many private collections and in public collections such as The Bodleian Library in Oxford.
Artist Info: "My work is grounded in observational drawing and experimentation in all mediums and subjects.
A way to empathise, reflect and deeply connect with my subject. Through decades of observation, I’ve developed an intuitive, responsive drawing process rooted in a deep understanding of form, composition, feel, expression and colour.
I draw when I experience moments in life that I take notice of and they raise the hairs on the back of my neck! I see the beauty of the drape and pattern of a fabric following the shape of a figure. The rhythms, colours and shapes changed by weather and light in a landscape. A musician or dancers’ expression and movement that connects with me during a performance.
Each subject reveals and dictates how it wants the drawn or painted marks to be made - through rhythm, movement, light, or sound - and I respond instinctively, letting the unexpected lead. I stop when the marks align with the subject’s essence and the image holds presence.
This is where I flourish: in the space between play, control and the excitement of accidental and unforeseen discovery.
