Do you accept the challenge?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"store-productpage__productinfo\"\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eThe inspiration\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThe original inspiration came about when my daughter was an extra on a remake of one of the Ealing comedies that involves badly behaved school girls. I went on set at Liverpool station and drew the girls dressed up in their dischevelled school clothes. One young girl stood out and a sketch that I captured of her developed in to this etching of her playing conkers in the playground. The original sketch was painted with in brush pen in black ink. The ink sketch was transfered to plate in a complex printmaking process resulting in a copper plate with the image etched on to it. This image is a print from the plate using chine colle and hand tinted embellishment using watercolours.
